Overcast morning, spent at the house catching up on washing,
chatting, planning for trip etc….
The weather did fine up later so we headed out for further
exploration of the medieval city, walking around the outer wall and entering
through the gate near the cathedral. We
were treated to a choral rendition by the Chouer de Moscou on entering the
cathedral. The cathedral has beautiful stained glass windows.
After a snack of delicious crepes at one of the numerous
cafes within the city and wandering the streets looking at some of the shops,
we headed out to the Bastide St Louis to see some of the historic buildings
that still remain in the town. We ended our walk at the Port du canal Du Midi
where we watched some boats coming in and out of the lock there and learnt what
not to do when it is our turn!!!
Decided to stay in for the evening and have snacks for
dinner as we have to get up early in the morning to catch the train to Beziers.
Just as well we did as it rained again.
We did manage to get a photo of all of us for Rose before
the rain set in though. Thought it appropriate that we took the group photo of
us at the Rosemary bush at the front of the house.
Some people don't worry about the washing up and drink out of a glass. Others just drink out of the bottle and I'm not talking about Bill!!!!
