Our last day J
Had to say goodbye to Di and Ian at Beziers after breakfast as they were catching a train into Italy to continue their holiday.
The rest of us headed on to Port Cassafieres.
The girls decided to cycle after the first of 4 locks we
needed to go through today, out of the total of 62 locks we did in all, as it
was once more a beautiful sunny day. It was slow going through the locks as the
lock keepers were slow and made us wait for other boats to come along the canal
and into the lock before closing them.
The girls wanted to check out ‘the med’ so cycled down to
the beach at Portiragnes Plage on the way to Port Cassafieres, whilst Bill and
Jim brought the boat back into the ‘Le Boat base.
Here we said goodbye to everyone as they went their separate ways....
Jim and Helen to Nimes, Paris, Singapore, Brisbane
Margaret and Christine to Montpelier and then Christine to Sheffield and Margaret to Southsea
Miki and Lyynne to Barcelona, then touring Spain Portugal and Morocco
Bill and Linda train to Figueres Vilafante to pick up a car and then touring Spain
