Stourhead and Cothay Manor

Visited two fabulous gardens, Stourhead  which is National Trust did a great walk around the lake enjoying the massive trees and colourful rododendrons.  The historic home was  full of chesterfield furniture and massive paintings.

Next day it was over to Cothay Manor which featured on TV, we saw the Lady of the Manor and family members and  the son-in-law who administers the estate came out to ask our opinion about a small matter. 

 Pear Tree Cottage B&B was like going home  we enjoyed a nice night and next morning there.

 

Also had dinner at River Cottage Canteen last night, a lovely experience and took lots of photos for Leisa and Ross.  

The VW Passat we have on hire has been  great to travel in and  my clever husband has the GPS programmed for all the trip which has been brilliant.   Having a great time  an nice to see Di on the Blog.  

I miss Ethan and Alex,  saw a nice pic of Alex with his new hoody on.
